switching lumix from internal memory to retentivity card

Hi,

I've got a Lumix DMC-ZS15. I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me step past stride how to switch the camera from using its internal memory over to the memory card. Correct now, I go on getting the message "Retentivity Full" and I'k sure information technology'due south because the camera is for some reason using the onboard memory and non the card. I know this sounds like the dumbest question ever, but I dont take the total owners transmission, and I tin't find this anywhere online.

Thanks a ton!

Re: switching lumix from internal retentivity to retentivity card

Here's a link to the manual. Really its says more detailed information is on the CD that came with the photographic camera so I can't help at that place. What you do is either hit Control + F on PC or Command + F on Mac, this is how you search inside a PDF like this transmission. Type in retention card or something like that and it will search the entire manual for the key word (s) you enter.

Thanks Ryan - but this is the basic manual, and the info isn't in at that place. I already searched that online. I need the info that'south in the CD - or the know-how of someone who has the camera.

Playback menu.
Copy
In to SD
will copy images from the internal memory to the card.

Too, exist sure that your card's non total. That might also give a "memory total" mistake. Recording should automatically have place on the bill of fare if information technology's inserted. No user interface for that.

Re: switching lumix from internal memory to retention card

Thanks Sherm - I'll meet what happens. i don't even have the camera with me, as i'1000 abroad right now - my married woman's got it and is getting the retentivity full message - but I've been giving her the benefit of the doubtfulness and bold that she would know if the card actually was full. Peradventure not.....

Re: switching lumix from internal memory to memory carte

That'due south correct...blame your wife. Run across how far that'll get you.

I suspect the issue is a full card - I'm pretty certain that's the message I got yesterday with a full bill of fare....unless of course there'southward no carte in the slot at all.
Seems simplest to swap cards and see if the problem disappears.

Re: switching lumix from internal retention to memory card

I seem to think that the (LX5) transmission states that the card should exist formatted in the camera .

Attempt clearing off the card in your computer so starting fresh with a camera format.

Was the card used in some other make camera earlier ?
The camera should write to the card if it's present and recognized.

Re: switching lumix from internal memory to retentivity menu

Don't format the existing bill of fare without looking to see what's on information technology.
Any new menu should piece of work just fine.

Re: switching lumix from internal retentivity to memory menu

Here's a idea.

Nosotros know that the camera should write to the SD carte du jour if it is inserted in the camera instead of the internal memory.

So i asks why this is not happening?

Did the tiny switch on the side of the SD card accidentally get set to LOCK when you slipped it in the camera? If and so, you can't write to the carte.

The card could be full.

If this is the beginning time you tried this carte, peradventure it need formatting.

The card could be bad, you lot could try another.

Some things to check....
